This evening is for all those interested in musicality and high fidelity sound reproduction. \nFor this first one\, we have the pleasure of welcoming Reinhard Thöress\, a manufacturer of devices for musical reproduction. \nWe met Reinhard last year at the High-End audio fair in Munich\, where we were looking for ideas and partners to perfect our Voice Of The Theater set-up\, which at that time did not fully satisfy us\, and we were immediately charmed by the character and the beauty of the devices in terms of design and sound quality! After a few discussions\, it was clear to us that we wanted to work with this electronics expert and entrust him with the realization of our next material investment. \nWe met again last fall for the delivery of our Thöress F2a11 amplifier and the completely brilliant Phono Entzerer. It was a great weekend of installation and tuning but also of musical and wine appreciation. \nWe are glad to present this evening\, where Reinhard will share the music he loves. From love hotels to prostitution islands\, from private cabarets to home-based love dolls\, they lift the veil on this codified universe reserved for Japanese erotomaniacs. “For several trips\, several years\, I’d been spending my nights in strange Japanese Babylons. Here\, yes\, everything was permitted. Here\, every fantasy had a physical and geographical answer. Here\, everything was a solution.” Jérôme Schmidt discovered Japan over twenty years ago as a musician with Richard Pinhas and Maurice G. Dantec\, before founding Inculte publishing in 2004. A documentary filmmaker (Arte\, CBC…)\, he is also the author of books and guides on Japan published by Les Arènes. Yann Stofer is a photographer and director for advertising and film. Today the number of new openings of “listening bars“ (and I don’t like that term) influenced by jazz kissa is not unrelated to the wide and well-deserved dissemination of their work (website\, events and podcasts).\n\nBut this would also take away from the quality of Philip’s photographic work\, his sense of detail and atmosphere.
