A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported this project over the past years. With the goal in mind of diving deep into jazz, connecting different eras, artists, and continents, and exploring the development of jazz over time, I am excited to continue this journey with you.
This time, I’ve decided to spotlight four records by four artists, playing a curated selection of songs, to highlight the significance of Germany’s progressive music scene after World War II. The selected artists—Can, Embryo, Joe Haider, and Wolfgang Dauner—serve as prime examples of the dissolution of traditional genre boundaries and the fusion of jazz, rock, psychedelia, and avant-garde elements.
Each of these artists, in their own unique way, has made significant contributions to the evolution and global recognition of Germany’s progressive music scene in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
Let’s celebrate their legacy and the enduring spirit of musical innovation!
✨The bar opens at 6:30 PM. Needle drop at 8:30 PM.
