In this session we would like to remember the late Peter Brötzmann almost a year after his death. Together we’ll celebrate his life and music listening to the last solo record he ever recorded: “When I walk through the woods or stroll through a city I’m always whistling, tunes I have in my head through all my life, and the only idea for this recording was to show – mostly to myself – the connection between what has been and what there is right NOW – the one can’t exist without the other.”
Host for the evening will be Frank Mauceri (@mauceri.frank) musician artist and Senior Lecturer in Music at the Bowdoin College, Maine, USA.
✨The bar opens at 6:30 PM / The needle drops at 8:30 PM sharp.
✨ Tickets (5 Euro) for the session available at the door.
✨ We ask for silent listening during the length of the main record.
✨ Come early and/or stay late for a chat and a drink!
✨ No room for squares is dedicated to the discovery, promotion and shared listening of genre-challenging music: artists and records that don’t fit into specific categories but bend and break the boundaries between and across them. We love the visionaries, the outsiders, those who dare to look into the abyss and are not scared to explore new ways.
