Franco Battiato – Clic (Bla Bla 1974)
“Clic” is Franco Battiato´s fourth LP and shows his more intimate side, his compositions moving further into the realm of pure and elemental approach to sound. Battiato created a seminal work that flows naturally from one musical form to the next:
electronic music, kosmische touches, avant free-form and minimalism, reworking the influences of both Stockhausen and Bartok,
Clic is a deep meditation on music and its meaning: “The responsibility of the new musician is to understand and deepen his relationship with sound, looking for the unexplored acoustic space. […] In the new music, sound is no longer an imitation of nature, but is nature itself: music becomes science.” (F.B.)
