Kantine Musik – Listening Session: Eberhard Weber “The Colours of Chloë”

Monday, September 22 @ 6:30 PM

presented by Cassie Kinoshi

Bex Burch presents
“Kantine Musik” Listening Session

On Sunday, September  21, percussionist and composer Bex Burch invites friendly musicians — Cassie Kinoshi, Dudù Kouate, Johannes Schleiermacher, Micha Acher and Adam Pultz Melbye — to share live music, domestic living room style, at Silent Green under the name “Kantine Musik”

The following day, we’ll meet at Rhinoceros to continue that cozy living room vibe — the feeling when you want to share your favorite records with all your friends gathered! We will deeply listen to one LP picked by Cassie Kinoshi this time: Eberhard Weber “The Colours of Chloë”

followed by a conversation with Cassie, composer and reed player.

Eberhard Weber’s “The Colours of Chloë” (1974) is a landmark ECM release, fusing jazz, classical, and ambient elements into a uniquely cinematic sound. The compositions are spacious and meticulously layered, built around Weber’s singing electric bass tones, delicate piano lines, lush string arrangements, and subtle percussion. The music flows between melancholic atmospheres and uplifting passages, creating a dreamlike balance of intimacy and grandeur.  The perfect vibe for a monday evening!

Bex will also play a selection of records before and after the listening session.
