Listening Session: Ichiko Aoba – Luminescent Creatures (2025)

This album was inspired by bioluminescent plankton and the mysterious creatures of the deep sea.

It is a work that traces “the unseen” — the light, life, and emotions of the deep ocean.

Flowing throughout the album is a sense of the subtle glow of the sea and a quiet resonance with nature.

Rather than traditional music, it weaves moments like the breath before a voice, the presence before a sound.

I chose the intimate and gentle space of Rhinoceros to share this quietly glowing world.

I hope we can spend time together in that dreamlike space, listening closely to the faint flickers of life.
