FloFilz – Hagaki 葉書

When our friend Dimitra introduced us to FloFilz, it didn’t take long for us to decide: we will host a listening session for his forthcoming record. As we are rooted in hip-hop culture and with a clear love for Japan, this one feels like a perfect match.

Hagaki – out September 12th on Melting Pot Music – is FloFilz’s latest project: a jazz-laced, beat-driven love letter to Japan. Recorded between Berlin and Tokyo, the album features incredible collaborators like Takuya Kuroda, Nao Yoshioka, Budamunk, and Toshiki Soejima, capturing a unique cross-cultural dialogue through music.

From Tokyo record stores to misty mountain trails, ramen spots, and jazz joints, Hagaki is more than an album—it’s a sonic postcard shaped by deep respect for detail, soul, and rhythm. The visuals, crafted by Robert Winter, complete the journey.
