ECM Listening Session – John Scofield – Uncle Johns Band (2023)

It is with great pleasure that we are once again teaming up with ECM for a special listening session! @ecm_records
This time we will listen to a living legend of the electric guitar, a gentleman with an enormous career spanning more than 45 years, who returns to us with a guitar – bass – drums trio for his third album with ECM, John Scofield and his new recording “Uncle Johns Band“
Named after a Grateful Dead song, a jazz record with hints of folk, blues, rock as Scofield has always did it. Listed are covers of Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Miles Davis as well as jazz standards, all with this incredible touch from the guitarist taking his jazz trio into exhilarated improvisations!
Everything we like to listen to and we are very happy to share this vinyl in preview before its availability on November 17.
