J.Walia – Blue In Green

We are very glad to welcome Joseph Walia behind the turntables, a tailor, photographer, deep listener, and longtime companion of us at Rhinoceros. For three years, he lived between the bar’s shadows, his neighborhood Wedding, and the hum of blue notes, shaping further a sensibility rooted in melancholy, beauty, and depth.

Now back from Japan for a moment, expect a deeply atmospheric set, from Charles Mingus to Michel Petrucciani, John Coltrane, Mal Waldron, Miles Davis, and Duke Ellington, just to name a few. Joseph’s selection isn’t about nostalgia, but presence: music that lingers, sways, and speaks.

To complement the music, we’ll be pouring rare wines by the glass, wines with tension, content, clarity and honesty.
